Fox Smith
Fox is a dedicated therapist who takes pride in providing a safe, respectful space for clients to explore their emotions, worldviews, and experiences that have shaped them. She strives to create meaningful growth, healing, and helping clients move toward the life they want.
In her journey as a counsellor, Fox has obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), a Graduate Diploma of Counselling, and a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy. After an early career in marketing and communications she transitioned into counselling to focus more on healing, personal growth, and developing healthier relationships.
Following her Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Fox pursued further training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Existential Psychotherapy and Philosophy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. She has completed the ICEEFT Couples Therapy Externship and receives ongoing mentorship in this specialty from Clinic Director, Dr. Rowan Burckhardt. Fox is a registered member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
In session, Fox supports clients to build emotional insight, strengthen practical coping skills, and engage in meaningful reflection. She brings her warmth, understanding, and the EFT framework to guide the therapeutic process in addressing challenges, milestones, and choices. Importantly, regardless of your relationship structure and neurotype, she has an affirming lens so that you are seen, heard and understood and can communicate your feelings and needs without rush or judgement.
Alongside her work with couples, Fox brings clinical experience supporting individual concerns such as anxiety, depression, life stage phases and transitions, work and study related stress, ethical dilemmas, ADHD, family problems, and substance misuse. She also has extensive experience in working with people who identify as LGBTQIA+.
